Day Nursery for 0-5 year olds & holiday club care for 3 months to 8 years.
We believe the move from home to nursery should be as smooth as possible for the children in our care. Our team of skilled and experienced individuals are committed to the highest standard of childcare. Explore our rooms below.
Even though the nursery education starts from this young tender age it is imperative for us to make sure their routine and care stays the forefront of everything we do, and the rest will follow.
You will be introduced to your child’s key person as soon as the journey begins. The key person is responsible for completing your child’s development records, doing observations and planning activities for your child’s interests and needs. Often a child chooses their key person themselves by bonding with a certain member of the team.
The routine of any baby is mirrored from home including sleep patterns, feeding stages and needs of just the smallest detail such as a comforter when sleeping. We spend as many settling sessions as needed with our new parents just so we are prepared to care for their child in the way any parent would expect.
We feel that if we can get the care right from the start then any new baby will go on through the nursery feeling loved and cherished and ready to learn.
We are a listening ear, a support for new parents and a confident when needed.
Our baby suite has everything the babies and staff need on hand from a purpose-built sleep room to play space, eating, messy and changing space. The suite has been development with ease of care for our babies so that we just need to concentrate on what’s important.
There is a designated baby garden within the main garden that is used during the warmer months.

For this age group of babies, the routine comes from home and is mirrored within the nursery. The baby’s routine is at the forefront of the day and activities are built into the day surrounding the routine.
The meal plan and times are followed throughout the whole setting for the older babies within the room, but many are still bottle fed and that sits outside the normal food times.
This group of children are from about 16 months old, stable upon their feet, emotionally ready to move and ready for a more challenging environment. This is a separate area from babies and toddlers. This helps build confidence and support for those who are able to start that independence journey.
Patience and understanding are key to the success of our toddlers progressing their journey to Pre School, the room empowers their imagination through our child-initiated play which develops their learning ability and helps them to feel confident in their exploration. The toddlers are all at different development stages and we support parents and children alike. We use lots of activities that support concentration and understanding emotions, and we give the children the tools to be confident in challenging the world around them. We base our toddler curriculum around their development of speech and language and actively encourage chatter and listening.
As with every suite within the building the Toddlers have their own area for all their needs. As this age range of children are still either in nappies or potty training it is imperative that we are ready for all stages and by having toilet facilities close by it helps support their needs. Potty training is an exciting and frustrating time for toddlers and parents alike and the nursery will play an imperative role in supporting this stage.
The Toddlers within the nursery are still very young so there is always a cuddle to be had, they do love a cuddle.
The speech development of words breaking through at this age is such a delight to the team and the frustration of the toddlers soon lifts when they are understood, and little Characters are showing more and more.
As with every age range within the nursery the most important part of the nursery day is the children’s routine. The Toddlers feel a sense of security when they learn the nursery’s routine, especially around food times.
The curriculum will be more imperative at this stage and we follow topics and subjects like the school environment. Our activities that are led by the Pre School Practitioner and supported by the Manager and Deputy will include the traditional areas of learning that are fun and imaginative.
Additional to the traditional learning methods the children are also taught non curriculum activities such as putting on shoes and socks. They are taught the importance of personal hygiene with providing them with the space and independence that will be needed for the ongoing journey to school.
They are taught and encouraged social interaction and acceptance of others in an environment that is accepting of all.
As with the whole nursery the feeling of belonging and acceptance is reflected in all we do. The children have their own pictured peg for storing coats and any belongings brought in for the day ahead the children are encouraged to find their pictured peg and given the independence to hang their coat and retrieve any items needed for the day.
You will often see the Pre School children putting their most treasured pieces of art or models in their bag, just ready to show their parents.

Forest school learning is very hands on natural way of learning in the great outdoors.
It allows children to evaluate risk which is a very useful tool as they move into adulthood, they can explore freely, and challenge themselves.
It gives every child the chance to discover and build positive relationships.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Honeybees and to give you some much deserved positive feedback. From the first moment we visited Honeybees and spoke to Amanda, we had a really good feeling about the Nursery. It feels like a second home and all of the staff, especially Becki and Kayti are so friendly and welcoming to the children and their families. They always seem so kind and caring and I have no worries about leaving my daughter in their care.
My daughter really enjoys coming to the pre-school and always talks about her day and all of the exciting things she has done. One of her favourite games to play at home is ‘nurseries’ where she pretends to be the nursery teacher and we have to take the children (all of her toys) in. She shows kindness to all of her toys in the nursery, obviously echoing the kindness she receives at Honeybees.
My son has been with you since the age of 11 months, and he is now almost 3. He has always attended for 4 full days per week, and this has been increased to 5 full days from the start of this year. We intend to keep my son at Honeybees until he is ready to start Reception. We have been delighted with the care and development you have provided for my son right from the start, he has thrived in your setting and as far as I'm concerned, you are providing a brilliant service and an outstanding environment for children to develop.
T has been with you for nearly two years now, as you know, T has a background of trauma and is a previously looked after child, so for him to feel safe somewhere was the most we could ever ask for. It is clear that he does feel safe, as is evident in the way he talks about his day, and in the fact that he is actually learning things (albeit slowly at his own pace). He tends to spend time in freeze/sleep mode and often doesn’t eat away from our home when unsettled or feeling frightened, and he is not displaying this behavior at Honeybees. He has delays in most areas and your support and advice helped us as parents feel confident in our decision to delay his application to reception, and it was the best thing we could have done.
We are over the moon with all the progress Lily is making over the last year in the Tiddler room. We are thankful for the support in developing communication and interactions skills. We are confidant our daughter is getting the best care when she is in and enjoys it so much she doesn't want to leave!
Our daughter is so happy and settled there and loves all the staff, especially Jaz who she talks about all the time! As parents, we have found the team to be so caring. More recently, my daughter had a high temperature on one of her nursery days and Becky and Jaz went above and beyond to keep me informed of how she was doing, even messaging the following day (when Lyla wasn’t scheduled to attend) to check if she was feeling any better. The updates we get on my daughter’s day clearly show the wide range of activities she can take part in. The team have really taken the time to get to know my daughter and ensure they spend time doing the things that she loves best.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the facilities, in particular, the garden are fantastic and he always has lots of fun. I couldn't ask for a better environment for him and would recommend to anybody looking for a nursery.
with a very happy and welcoming atmosphere. All the staff are lovely and I feel so comfortable leaving my son in their care. He's developed in so many ways since joining Honeybee's, he loves it there. Highly recommended!
We really love the use of the 'Tapestry' app which helps us see what he's been up to, and is a great way to share updates on his progress with grandparents who live many miles away. He eats well (far better than at home) sleeps well and behaves well - respecting the positive re-enforcement he receives from his teachers. All of the staff seem to know him well, which is very reassuring. We like how his independence is encouraged and the outside space is spectacular.
