To pay for your childcare we accept tax free childcare and famly pay. There are other forms of payment if these 2 don’t suit. Please just ask.
We have been feeding early years children for many years and have produced our menus from many years of experience. We offer a healthy well-balanced diet throughout the day. All meals are eaten together in a very sociable environment. Good table manners and eating habits are a must and all dietary requirements are catered for. We do not allow lunch boxes as we cannot protect children with allergies if food is brought in from home.
The exception is when children are purely funded, we request that they only bring in a fruit snack. This is closely monitored.
Your child can attend for 1 day per week, but we don’t encourage it, as it will take a long time for any child to settle into the nursery routine. 2 sessions per week are a suggestion.
We offer general sessions, enhanced funded sessions and funded sessions.
Any child attending general sessions do not incur any additional charges as these sessions aren’t funded.
Enhanced sessions that are funded will incur an additional charge per full day or half day, please see our fee sheet for our current prices and what is included in an enhanced session.
Funded sessions are shorter and the requirement is that your child brings their own fruit snack. Meals and additional extras are not offered for these sessions.
15 hours and 30 hours are available subject to availability. These hours are funded over 38 weeks. We spread our funding over 51 weeks, which equates to 11 or 22 hours per week.
To claim you must supply a valid funded code, Claimants national insurance number and their date of birth.
We offer 3 settling sessions the week before any child starts at nursery or Pre School. Funding can be used for these sessions.
We do not provide nappies, wipes or formula milk. Wipes can be purchased at an additional cost if you haven’t had time to pick some up. We will notify you when the supply of nappies, wipes and formula is running low.
We have our own garden, which is fully enclosed. We are outside as much as the weather permits.
Firstly, you must install the app on a Phone, tablet or PC and we provide you with a unique login.
The nursery runs an app-based software that links home to nursery. We use the app to allow parents to feel part of nursery life by way of child photographs, news and learning updates. We also inform parents of our yummy menu.
The login will be granted upon your child’s first day until their last day.
The staff are trained to provide a very honest overview to parents about how their child’s day has been, whether that be a good day or a not so good day. We have found over the years that parents benefit from knowing the good and the not so good, this is part of building a healthy strong relationship.
We always say to parents never send your child in clothing that is for parties or celebrations, only send them in clothing that they can get messy in as we do a lot of messy.
We do understand that sometime getting your child ready to leave in the morning is difficult and a favourite toy is used to ease the pressure, but whilst at nursery we encourage children to leave any of their personal possessions in their bag.
Nursery equipment it is purchased for lots of little hands to enjoy, whereas individual children’s toys are not, so bring the toy with you but we will put the toy away ready for pickup later.
Comforters and dummies will be used as per your instruction.
The Nursery Management team is structured as follows the Manager, who is responsible for the Operation and the Day-to-Day Management of the Nursery inclusive of the care, learning and Nursery Staff and the Deputy Manager who is responsible for deputising in the Manager’s absence and the Nursery Education.
In each room there is a Senior Practitioner who is responsible for the day to day running and planning of that room. They are assisted by Practitioners and will often have a trainee.
Our support staff consist of a cook, cleaner, administrator and a Maintenance Manager who also assist in the smooth running of the nursery.
We are open for 51 weeks per year. We are closed between Christmas and New Year
Monday to Friday 07:30 to 18:00.
We offer various sessions throughout the day but are very flexible in our approach as we are aware some working patterns are different.
